What is Consolidated Tenders

The Consolidated Tenders Platform is a multi-tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) system designed to streamline and centralize online tendering for multiple state, territory, and local government entities. It powers the individual tendering portals for each participating jurisdiction, allowing for the aggregation of data and a unified user experience.

Key Features and Benefits:

  1. Better Value for Money for States: The collaboration between different states leads to cost efficiencies and resource sharing.
  2. Shared Updates: When a change is made in one jurisdiction’s portal, it is automatically reflected across all participating systems.
  3. Consistency for Suppliers: Suppliers who work across multiple jurisdictions experience a consistent and simplified process when accessing tenders, no matter where they operate.
  4. One-Stop Shop for Suppliers: Suppliers only need to manage one set of profile data, reducing administrative burden, and improving data quality.
  5. Improved Profile Management: Suppliers can maintain their profile data in one place, eliminating the need to update the same information across multiple platforms.

The platform works like an online banking system, where each user can only see their own data, despite sharing the same system interface. For instance, when you visit www.tenders.sa.gov.au (South Australia), you will see the branding and content specific to South Australia, and the same applies to other jurisdictions like www.tenders.vic.gov.au (Victoria).

However, all data from the different tenants is aggregated into the Consolidated Tenders site (www.consolidatedtenders.com ).

What is a Tenant?

A tenant is a group of buyers who buy under the auspices of an overarching organisation or contracting body. This could be a government jurisdiction, and association or industry peak body. Typically, Consolidated Tenders tenants are state governments or local government associations.

Each tenant has their own branded online tendering site. For example, the Government of South Australia has www.tenders.sa.gov.au, while the Government of Victoria has www.tenders.vic.gov.au.

A buyer will have an account on their tenant's site. All the approaches to market that the buyer publishes will appear on the tenant's site. Additionally, they will also appear on the Consolidated Tenders Site.

In summary, the Consolidated Tenders Platform acts as the central hub for all data related to tenders from various associated government websites. It enables:

  • One place to search all tenders from multiple jurisdictions.
  • One daily tender notification for all relevant opportunities.
  • One account login on all tendering sites.
  • One supplier profile to market to all buyers across jurisdictions.
  • One Tender Document Library for easy access to all relevant documents.
  • One location to recall and re-use past tender responses, saving time and effort.

Since all data is integrated into the Consolidated Tenders Platform, any updates made on a specific tenant's site or the Consolidated Tenders site are automatically reflected across the platform, ensuring that information remains up to date across all platforms.
